Layoffs and Empathy
As we all see, many companies decided to make major job cuts. Even the big brands like Oracle, Shopify, PayPal, Netflix, Everli, Getir, Redfin, Robinhood, Coinbase π πΈ
For people affected, layoffs mean stress, cancelled plans, financial worry. It also forces them to find a new job fast. Who are they? They are specialists, already trained and contributing to the companies we follow, often admire. π©π½βπ»π§πΌβπ»π¨π»βπ»
And here comes empathy. If youβre hiring, why donβt you make the recruitment process easier for them? Maybe you could cut the technical interview (they were already doing the job)? Maybe you could schedule the interviews in a couple of days? Maybe you could make the decision the same day instead of after weeks? β³π€
If not, what stops you?
